Off Season Training Begins Today
The Computrainer class schedule is on the endure it! calendar http://www.endureitsports.com/calendar/month.php. Simply click on the class you would like to attend, sign up to reserve your spot and you are in! There is nobody who offers a more simplistic way to ensure your off season training is complete.
New instructors, New computrainers, New classes, even smoothies!!
This year endure it! has upped the ante and brought in additional computrainers. The total at the moment is fourteen, and with the treadmills, endless pool, and performance testing equipment. I believe we are leading the industry as to what we can offer our customers in the specialty endurance training and coaching category.
We have added two new instructors who have gone through the previous two years program and are certain to bring their own experience to the schedule. Mary Tobiason and Ron Good. This will round out a group of instructors who have experience in off season training with the endure it! proven progressive program.
Other new classes will include core/stretching and power yoga. We will also be adding a fantastic smoothie bar to our famous coffee. It's really not famous other than we drink a lot of it!
What is a progressive program and why start now?
Training endurance athletes is a challenge in that the typical type "A" personality drives themselves too early too quickly. Fitness is optimized by timing as peak fitness is a very limited window. Spinning sessions at the gym are always offered to give everyone a challenging workout no matter if it is November or March and without any sense of data as to how you are performing at any given time. The endure it model is to keep you in check as we develop you throughout the fall and winter. We use a snowballing effect to make sure the proper stepping stones are not skipped. You will be challenged in all of our classes but the training will be timed towards obtaining specific training objectives. This will include, technique, strength, endurance and much more.
This all means that if you are interested in improving you need to begin now! Are classes always begin to fill up in the late winter and these people are playing catch up as they have missed out on crucial stepping stones.
Frequency?
Endure it! has seen dramatic improvement with the athletes who are willing and able to follow our program. To optimize the program you will need to attend 2-3 classes per week. These sessions should be timed appropriately for recovery as well as placing them with other training like running, swimming, weight training, etc.
For those of you who like to attend once a week or like to start in January, we are happy to have you and of course something is better than nothing. At the same time take a look at the athletes who have committed their time here and compare their improvement to yours and you will see the dramatic difference. We have seen across the board increases of 20-30% for an athletes power at their aerobic threshold with our off season plan.
Ability Levels?
One of the first questions people ask is "what if I am just getting into this? do you offer a introductory class?" I believe one of the great aspects of our club is the mentor/mentee opportunities. I believe a new cyclist would be able to learn a whole lot by cycling next to an elite veteran. Truth is this newbie would never have this opportunity out on the open road so we believe in a come one come all attitude.
