January Announcements

COMPUTRAINER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thank you all for your participation in the endure it! indoor training season. I think everyone would agree it is our best year yet! We have already seen great improvement with our efficiency, strength, and additional base work.

Our third round of performance tests will be from 1/5 through 1/9. All classes this entire week will be dedicated towards testing. Do not sign up for more than one class during the testing procedure. I can not stress enough how important it is for everyone to participate in the testing. It will enable us to track improvement, as well as give you the necessary tools to ensure you are properly following the detailed structure of our sessions.

The January calendar is up and we have added a few classes so everyone has the opportunity to get in.

Once again, we have seen incredible improvement already! it is not too late to participate. We generally see a large increase in participation in January and we are prepared to get you started.

Let endure it! bring your cycling and fitness to a whole other level. Our staff and program is fantastic, the environment is friendly and fun, you will improve!

MASTERS SWIM

The second endure it! Masters Swimming Session also begins next week. Massive improvements have been enjoyed here as well. Swimming is best done through a structured coaching environment. Our staff has done a fantastic job with developing the most technical of triathlons three disciplines. Do not get out of the water next season exhausted because you are inefficient! or under trained! Coach's Jenny Garrison and Chris Hagenbaumer are energetic, knowledgeable, and a huge resource for everyone looking to improve their swimming.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Endure It! will close at 3pm Tomorrow, 12/31. We will open on Friday 1/2.

It's not too late to sign up for any of the 3rd annual Endure It! Indoor Team Time Trial events. Remaining time slots are 12pm and 2pm. Click here for futher information.

3rd Annual Endure It! Spring Training Camp in Solvang California!

Registration is now open for the endure it! camp held each spring in beautiful Solvang Ca. A few changes have been made this year...

Michael Lovato will be attending as an associate Coach! Michael is perhaps the premier American Ironman Athlete today. He has consistently finished in the top ten at the Hawaii Ironman World Championships as well as a recent winner of Ironman Arizona and Ironman Coeur d'alene. Michael is best known for his outgoing personality as well as his willingness to give back to the athletic community.

I am really excited to work with Michael and I believe he will add a whole lot to our experience.

The Program

The focus of the camp will be to get in plenty of early season miles on the bike. The scenery and terrain are absolutely unbeatable and very easy to understand why so many pro tour cycling teams use this area for their team training camps. The roads are quiet, the staff is fantastic, the food is great, and the best part are the friends and memories forged each year from the entire experience. Remember it is all about the stories we tell!

Expectations

You do not not need to be an elite athlete by any means, but you need to be in good early season condition. Everything on the schedule is optional and you are not expected to push yourself beyond what you are comfortable with. Swimming and running are part of the camp of course yet the daily emphasis is the cycling. The bike riding is world class thus we want to take advantage of it as best we can. Expect to ride a challenging 30-70 miles per day including some very difficult mountain passes! Again, you do not need to be fast or elite and all speeds are accetable but you must be able to handle a week long challenging camp.

The Experience

The camp is designed to significantly raise our early season fitness. It is also to provide a spectacular backdrop to what we love to do...swim, bike, and run! You will be challenged, you will have a heap of laughs, and you will not forget it!

The Economy

We are all well aware of the difficult times we are in from an economic stand point and there are a few things I would like to point out to everyone. The flights this year are on average $150-$200 cheaper. We can ship your bike from endure it! with a relative low cost as a group. We will not charge to break down, pack and put together your bike to and from the camp. In direct comparison to similar run camps we are still very inexpensive, in other words you get a lot out your $$$.

Please check out http://www.solvangtriathloncamps.com/endureit.htm for more detailed information.

I am really looking forward to this years edition!

Endure It! Club Meeting

This Tuesday December 9th at 7:00pm we are excited to have Wyatt Jersa from Saris Cycling as our guest speaker.

Wyatt is a key employee of Saris Cyling located up north in Madison Wisconsin and is the manufacturer of our best selling powermeter the "Powertap".

Most of us have plenty of experience with power training because of our computrainer classes, yet many of us do not realize how valuable this information can be out on the road while training and racing.

We will hear how to take advantage of power meters and dicuss how to contine training with power beyond Computrainer sessions and into your racing season. Wyatt will also give us a run down on the latest and greatest available products from Saris and Powertap.

As always, come grab some refreshments and snacks, and enjoy a good old fashion night at the tri store.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next week

Computrainer Announcements

Functional Threshold Testing this week!

Starting today and continuing through Friday we will be conducting our monthly performance test. This test will not be available on the weekends. The calendar is updated and we have added more options for people who have not yet signed up. If you are attending more than one class this weekday let us know what class you would like to be removed from, you will not want to do this more than once.

Athletes should prepare for this class just like a competition. In other words be mentally and physically prepared to put in your best effort.

The test will be usefull for further participation in the Endure It! computrainer classes so be sure you sign up for a session this week.

As always you can sign up for a testing session on the calendar. There have been a couple cancellations in classes that were previously full, so grab the last couple spots while you still can. If you need to drop your second class this week shoot an email to dan@endureitsports.com.

Again...the test is today through Friday only!

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing the improvements.
