February Announcements - In January

February 1st - Indoor Time Trial Series Race #2

The second race in the Endure It! Indoor Time Trial Series is this Sunday. This time around it is a pure race of truth. This is a 16 mile solo effort against the clock and head to head versus your competition. The course is filled with rolling hills topping out at 5.4%. Visit the Endure It! Blog for more details, course profiles, pictures, and video. Sign up early to get your preferred time slot (9am, 10:30am, 12pm). Once again, free Bear Naked Granola, fruit, juices and yogurt are included with your race registration.

Feb 2-6 Threshold Testing Week

Endure It! Club Meeting

The next club meeting will be Wednesday February 11 at 7pm. Our guest speaker will be sport nutritionist Monique Ryan. Monique has over 24 years experience and a member of the USA cycling and triathlon performance enhancement team leading up to the 2004 olympics. She is also a prolific writer, regularly contributing to such publications as Inside Triathlon, Triathlete Magazine, Velo News, Outside Magazine, Her Sports, etc.

This is a great opportunity to gain some insight regarding race, recovery, and daily nutrition.

As always food and adult beverages will be plentiful and abundant!

We just completed our third round of functional testing last week. We tested over one hundred athletes and the improvement was what we expected. We have done very little above threshold training so a modest improvement over last month is what we were looking for. The sessions have been fantastic and we are looking forward to more improvement.

Time Trial Series

The 3rd annual indoor time trial series rolled off with a bang! There are still three events left in the series. For complete details, dates, and even some video footage check out the Endure It Blog. Galena Triathlon

Early bird registration for the 14th Annual Galena Triathlon and Duathlon ends tonight at Midnight. Galena is an early season, first class, well organized triathlon and another of Endure It's focus events. We were well represented last year with over 30 athletes several of which earned a spot on the podium. Let's do it up!
