A fun family race in the beautiful Fullersburg Woods. This race has become one of the premiere Thanksgiving day 5K’s in the midwest and has grown into a tradition for many local families on Thanksgiving morning. Families line up to race different paced birds through a challenging and scenic cinder path. At the finish there are festivities with all of our sponsors complete with HOT CHOCOLATE!
Be one with nature on this beautiful 5K (3.1 mile) trail run through the rolling hills of Fullersburg Woods. The race will take place in any weather.
The race will start on the corner of York and Spring Rd, by Fullersburg Woods/Graue Mill, on Thanksgiving morning. This event has become a fun, family tradition to start the holidays! Pick a pace and line up to beat your bird. This wonderful event encourages you to spend time with family while giving back – 100% of the proceeds directly benefit Chicago Hope Academy.
2019 Registration Fees
Donations can be made through registration and at the race. Chicago Hope Academy, located in Chicago’s Near West side, is a coed non-denominational college and life preparatory school dedicated to nurturing and challenging the whole person – body, mind, and spirit – to the glory of God. Its programs include Near West Little League, summer camps, mentorship programs and scholarship for deserving youth. Donate directly to Hope Academy.
